Ingredients

FOR THE DONUTS

  • 1 Cup Fruity Pebbles Cereal
  • 3/4 Cup Buttermilk
  • 1 2/3 Cup All-purpose Flour
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Stick Salted Butter melted (4 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 Cup White Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 Tablespoons Plain Greek Yogurt or Sour Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Canola or Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract

FOR THE GLAZE

  • 1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Teaspoon Strawberry Extract
  • 3 Drops Pink Gel Food Dye
  • 1 Cup Fruity Pebbles Cereal

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease donut pan
  • Combine 1 cup of Fruity Pebbles and buttermilk in large mixing bowl, set aside
  • Mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda)
  • Add lightly whisked egg, oil, vanilla, greek yogurt, and melted butter to bowl with cereal and buttermilk, stir until mixed
  • Slowly add flour mixture to buttermilk mixture until well combined
  • Fill prepared donut pan about ¾ full
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until bouncy on top
  • Let cool for 15-20 minutes in the pan
  • Mix together glaze ingredients, excluding cereal, until combined
  • Dip donuts in glaze and place on parchment paper
  • Sprinkle crushed cereal over glazed donuts in a diagonal direction
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Apply crushed cereal to glazed donuts immediately
  • Don't let the glaze harden before adding cereal
  • Add whole milk to glaze gradually, one tablespoon at a time
  • Adjust milk amount to achieve desired glaze consistency (about 3 tablespoons in this case)
