White Bread (Bread Machine Recipe)

This white bread recipe is designed for a bread machine, making the baking process convenient and efficient.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 ½ cups bread flour
  • 1 ½ tsp bread machine yeast

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to the bread machine in the following order mentioned in the ingredients list.
  • Place the pan inside the bread machine and follow the instructions of your bread machine for a 2 lbs. basic bread cycle and your desired crust color. (I selected light)
  • Allow the bread to cool off for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Ensure that the yeast does not come into direct contact with the salt at the beginning to prevent interference with the yeast's activation.
  • For best results, use bread flour as it has a higher protein content, contributing to a better rise and texture.
  • Experiment with different crust colors based on personal preferences.
  • Store the cooled bread in a sealed bag or container to maintain freshness.
